1890 Pair of German Solid Sterling silver coolers. These were made in Hanau by S. Rosineau and engraved by Juste Aurele Meissonnier. The perfect hand hammered pair is very heavy and deeply elaborated. The bellied coolers have two handles depicting two half human, half fish ocean creatures with a pair of entwined scaled tails and holding two mystical sea creatures. Chased with bacchic and marine figures. Each weights 76.70oz and are marked. These can also be utilized as vases.
