Pair of circa 1880 German Sterling Silver lidded urns. An impressive pair of solid silver urns or vases that are decorated with detailed chased and applied elements including stylized leaves chased around the lower portion of the body. Each Vase has an applied wreath shaped cartouche on one side, one with the image of a woman and a man in period clothing. On the opposite side of each vase is an applied armorial. Each Vase features a pair of magnificent ram's head handles.
