Set of Three 19th Century Russian Military Presentation Plaques
A set of three Russian Military presentation plaques that were made for a military celebration commemorating battles in the years of 1859, 1862 and 1864. They were given as gifts to members for their achievements. These paintings were painted with oil on a paper Mache board that were gilded with white gold leafing. The rear sides were all hand painted as well. They are mounted on their original ornate Russian double eagle carved wood frame. These are signed on the lower right corner by Adolf Jebens (Germany: 1819-1888).
