18th Century Russian Orthodox icon of the prophet Zachariah painted on an ornate solid slab of wood with an incorporated gold gilded frame that has been carved with a rococo design of deep scrolls and high relief. Incorporating at the base are two carved cherub heads. Such an icon would have once certainly been part of an iconostasis in the Prophet's Row in a rococo Church. It has been framed and mounted on a Lucite Panel.
