Circa 1717–1780, Hand-carved Wood and Polychrome Saints Cosmas and Damian
Pair of 18th century (1717 – 1780) hand-carved wood, with original polychrome and gold-gilded depicting Saints Cosmas and Damian. These used to belong to the Queen of Hungary, Croatia Maria Theresa and were displayed in her Castle during these years. Both are holding removable flags and have an oval compartment on the bottom covered with original red velvet fabric. These have a signature/initials in the back.
